Vivian Pinn Symposium Panel 2: Clinical Research in Women’s Chronic Disease
“The issue isn’t that the symptoms are vague; it’s that the framework for recognizing them is too narrow.”
That observation from Jonna Morris, PhD, RN, during her presentation on obstructive sleep apnea in women, became one of the defining themes of the panel. Following the symposium’s first panel on translational autoimmune and chronic disease research, Panel 2 focused on another major challenge in women’s health: delayed, missed, and underestimated diagnoses.
