The Global Autoimmune Institute is proud to support the ARCS Foundation with a $15,000 award recognizing Nikita Sivakumar as the 2025–2026 Global Autoimmune Institute Scholar, in honor of Benjamin Kim, Esq., and Amy Neuhardt, Esq.
Nikita is a doctoral student in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University with a focus on computational medicine.
Her research investigates how immune cells migrate and communicate during infection and vaccination, crucial processes that influence the body’s ability to generate long-lasting protection.
Using advanced imaging and computational modeling, she is developing new tools to uncover how cellular behaviors drive immunity, with broad implications for infection, vaccination, and autoimmune disease.
Nikita will be honored at the ARCS Awards Ceremony on October 23 at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).
