Autoimmune Disease Researchers Receive EXACT-PLAN Awards

The Office of Autoimmune Disease Research and the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases announced the recipients of the EXACT-PLAN awards. The awards are intended to build infrastructure, partnerships, and capabilities needed for research into how environmental exposures influence the development of autoimmune diseases.

Award recipients include:

• Jane Buckner, president of the Benaroya Research Institute:
• Wilson Liao, professor at the University of California San Francisco
• Marc Natter, pediatric rheumatologist at Boston Children’s Hospital
• Jill Norris, professor at the Colorado School of Public Health
• John Pearce, environmental health scientist at Medical University of South Carolina
• Brigitte Frohnert, associate professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
